the Men Behind The Medals
In May 2011 the Museum of the Manchester Regiment was awarded Ł53,031 by the Esmee Fairbairn Collections Fund to carry out the Men Behind the Medals Project. This involved comprehensively researching the lives of the 786 men whose medals are held in the Museum collection. A biography of each man was then written for display in the Museum and online at www.themenbehindthemedals.org.uk
